THESE PRECIOUS DOGS SERVE OUR COUNTRY AND WE ABANDON THEM

Why is this still happening? Oh but it has been worse. We all know. It has been worse because no one was looking. And where are those animal groups who have the money to bring an end to this absolute cruel practice of our government. Dogs that are blown to bits as sacrifice to those soldiers in order that those soldiers might live. Shouldn't we owe something at least a trip back home to the ones that do live? Why hasn't PETA spoken up and used their resources to bring pressure to those that might stop this. Oh I forget they are busy pursuing old ladies that have too many cats.

Dear Friend,

I'm so excited to tell you our latest news: as I write this, our team is preparing to depart for Iraq to save Nugget, Ivy and Nandi!
You remember these K-9 heroes, don't you?  They were contracted military working dogs who served honorably sniffing for bombs, detecting landmines and monitoring checkpoints in Iraq.  But when they weren't needed anymore, they were retired and stranded in Iraq - spending their days all alone -- confined to bare dog runs with almost no human contact.
Ivy Nugget Nandi

Without SPCA International, that's how they'd have spent the rest of their lives.  Alone.  Abandoned. Unloved.
But people like you stepped up and said, "We won't allow them to be forgotten. We will bring them home."  Thanks to you, these precious dogs will spend their remaining years with families who'll love and cherish them every single day.
I don't know why these dogs touched your heart, but you weren't alone.  The outpouring of love for them was unbelievable.
It reminds me that even though you and I may never meet, we share a unique bond.  The animals bring us together.  They need us to ease their pain and suffering - to stand up for them and say "no" when they're treated badly.  Thank you for standing beside me today and in the future.
I hope you'll continue to support our lifesaving work.  There are so many other Nuggets and Nandis and Ivys out there.  And, they desperately need my - and your - help.
With a thankful heart for your compassion,
JD Winston

The story of Eric from his Foster Mom (THIS IS AN UPDATE)

Do you remember Eric? This is Eric now.
Vera T: What do you think of my beloved Eric now?
It has been a few months since I told you about my foster Eric having the dreaded skin disease, penpheious. but I didn’t tell you that he was adopted by the best dermitologist vet on this earth and since then he is totally cured and no longer comes to the clinic everyday. He stays home so he can boss the other big dogs that belong to Dr. werner. Eric had many mirales in his corner but the best one of all was his becoming one of Dr.Werner's pets.  I know Eric had a very merry Christmas and everyday  I ask god to give Doc. Werner and our Rescue group, life4paws many blessings for all they do for worthy animals.
I miss eric but since eric left, I took in 6 more dogs that were bailed out from the Cammeraillo shelter that were supposed to go to New york to a  no kill shelter. Unfortunately no money for that to happen.  There was a total of 13 and our Rescue,Life4Paws took them all. Some had health issues and were taken care of by the Rescue. Now all but three have been adopted.

The best way to tell this story is to just print the words of the person who most knows Eric. This little dog, except for the pervasiveness of his best friend, would not be with us now. God bless the rescuers, the foster homes and the ones who just put their heart out there on the line sometimes and more times than not just to have it beaten down and still they go on to the next one that needs to be saved. This story written by Vera T.I will with hold her last name, would it be we all be so lucky to have such a friend as this. And now on to the story of Eric:

My Beloved Eric

Eric was bailed out of Camarillo Animal Shelter in 2009. We first thought he had been in a fight with another dog because of the condition of his face. It was all torn and oozing. I took him to foster anyway. But soon I realized this little guy had major problems. He had what appeared to be a tumor coming out of his left ear. The Veterinarian we normally use wanted a huge amount to operate on Eric's ear.
I asked another girl who also rescues about her veterinarian and how much he would charge us. He agreed upon $650.00.
Eric had to stay at the vet's after his operation for about three weeks. But the problem was much bigger than we ever realized. I decided to take him to a dermatologist. It turned out his problem was a very rare and very hard to treat disease called pemphigus.

Eric came back to me and was put on all kinds of medication. Plus a bath every other day.But nothing was working. We found another Vet.who said he would fix the problem for $800.00. So once again with our heart and our hope we went ahead. Once again no progress.
Eric was with me for six months then with a cone around his neck so that he would not bleed to death. In spite of all of his misery he ate very well and he even played with the other dogs. He was such a special little guy loved by everyone who came across him. All the vets who treated him fell in love with him. What a horrific situation for this little guy whose quality of life was just not good.

Finally, the President of our rescue group came to my house to talk about Eric. She wanted me to allow Eric to be eutahnized. Words cannot describe my heart when I heard those words. I lost it. I cried so much and I wanted to die in his place. But reality and the fact that our hearts are always larger than our resources. I agreed.
But fate said no. When she took the little boy to the vet to put him down. The vet who happened to be a lady said no. That we should put Eric on a new road and try holistic medicine as well as western.
Again he came back to me.I started him on all of his medicine and had to literally track down the kind of food he must eat.(very expensive) I was determined and I did find it and day by day his hair started to grow back.
But there was still that problem with his ear. Not a small problem.
His ear was full of clusters and the vet said those must be removed so we paid another $700.00.
Back again to my home but suddenly we found someone who wanted to adopt him. A forever home for this deserving little boy. Still something is in the path and that is, another surgury which is to be done by a certified surgeon which will cost $3000.00 that we do not have.
Eric has been thru so much hell and finally he has a home and we just cannot let him down now.He deserves a life of love and without pain. Could you please give us a hand? Even the smallest amount will help and it is tax deductible. The pay pal button is at the end of this article. God bless you and thank you. Vera T.(from California)

ONCE AGAIN PETA PROVES THEY ARE THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO ANIMALS

Peta thinks animal abuse is wrong....UNLESS...it happens to be contrary to a sports figure...unless they want to fall in line behind the President of the United States. This is absolutely a sin. A sin that Obama puts in his two cents in defense of a DOG KILLER. A Dog torturer. Be sure to send Peta your dollars so they can fight like hell against an elderly lady that has too many cats. HYPOCRITES! Please PETA desolve your non profit. You are setting animals back. You are worst than the abusers.

President Obama Praises Michael Vick; PETA Agrees

President Obama has praised Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick for his turnaround and NFL franchise owner Jeffrey Lurie for giving the former convict a second chance. Vick has emerged as a superstar for the Eagles after being jailed for running a dog-fighting ring and killing lame dogs.

In a phone call to Eagles owner Lurie, Obama stated that “So many people who serve time never get a fair second chance. It’s never a level playing field for prisoners when they get out of jail.” Mr. Obama’s statement, while true, begs to ask the question: Should a prison record be allowed at all when considering whether to hire an employee? Most businesses are leery of hiring ex-cons, especially when applicants without a criminal record are available.  White House officials confirmed that the conversation took place and took pains to add that the President also condemns Mr. Vick’s crimes.
The co-founder of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Ingrid E. Newkirk, backed the President fully, “Obama’s a sports guy, Vick’s a sports guy, and comebacks and redemption can happen.” The statement is somewhat odd from Ms. Newkirk as she fails to mention that Mr. Vick only ceased his activities upon being caught by authorities or made mention of earlier statements PETA made about Vick.  When the Eagles signed Vick in 2009 PETA issued a statement saying they “and millions of decent football fans around the world are disappointed that the Philadelphia Eagles have chosen to sign a man who hanged dogs from trees, electrocuted them with jumper cables, held them underwater until they drowned in his swimming pool.”
Vick and his cohorts labeled their fighting ring “Bad Newz Kennels” and an investigation found that Mr. Vick and his crew hung under-performing dogs with a nylon cord. While never admitting to killing a dog himself, Vick did admit that he witnessed his employees shoot and electrocute numerous dogs.
Mr. Vick has publicly stated that he would like to once again own dogs. Mikey. I am all for you owning dogs if you will have an exorcism performed. For you have a dark evil within you that still preveils.

TRIGGER HAPPY COP MURDERS FAMILY DOG

This cop who killed the Golden Retriever needs to be taken off the job. He is absolutely unqualified. The question is...how scared was he? Too scared to be carrying a gun is what I believe. Read the whole story:

Atlanta Georgia-A Clayton County mother of six said the family dog did what he always did when he saw someone. He barked. But when "Boomer" started barking and running toward a police officer Saturday morning, the officer shot the dog and killed it, Lawrene King told the AJC Sunday night.
“He’s a golden retriever," King said. "He barks, but he’s never bitten anyone.”
A Clayton County police officer was on foot patrol on North Shore Drive when the dog jumped off a porch and started barking and running toward the officer, Capt. Tina Daniel said. The officer ordered the dog to stop and when it didn't, the officer shot and killed the animal in its yard, Daniel said.
The officer, whose name was not released, was responding to a call reporting a suspicious person, police said.
A resident called police to report that someone was selling meat from the back of a white pickup truck, King said. The friend of one of her children had parked his white truck in front of the family's home, and King believes the officer was checking it to confirm it was involved.
"My neighbor saw the whole thing," King said. "He was shocked how quickly the officer pulled his gun."
Boomer was killed about 25 feet from his spot on the front porch, close to her front door, King said. He was not on a leash.
King said she wasn't home when Boomer was shot, but three teenagers were in her house. King said she received a frantic call from her 19-year-old son Jonathan.
"Mom! He killed my dog," King said her son screamed.
Lawrene King said police officers were still at her home when she returned.
The family had an electric fence, but there was not a sign alerting the officer it was there, Daniel said.
“I have really worked hard to teach my children about authority. I’ve also taught my children you take responsibility for everything you do," Lawrene King said. "We’re all human, but don’t try to justify.”

VIC WANTS A DOG.WAYNE PARCELLE SAYS HE THINKS IT IS OK

The head of the Humane Society of the U.S.thinks it is ok for Vic, the dog murderer to have a dog.
He goes on to say:"I've been around him a lot " Mr.Parcelle...consider this.

There are two kinds of murder. This applies to animals as well as humans. If someone kills someone from a distance, say as in shooting them. It detaches the victim and the killer. But if someone uses a knife up close and personal, then it becomes intimate and personal and certainly adds the pleasure of the kill to the killer. That describes Vic. He murdered dogs with his bare hands and since I was not there, I have to say there must be many more ways he murdered them to satisfy that dark element inside him. If he had not been discovered do you really believe he would have stopped?

This is not the same as someone who has acquired too many animals and they cannot care for them properly...not the same Mr.Pacelle. Are you out of your league here or have you been smitten by the football craze? There are consequences to actions that are despicable Mr.Vic. I don't give a damm what you tell your children. You committed it. You have to pay just as anyone else has to pay. No you do not deserve to have a pet. The only way I would say yes is for Mr.Parcelle to move in with you and your family.

Then Mr.Parcelle goes on to say this ridiculous crap:America loves its pets, but also condones hunting animals, raising them for meat and using them in experiments and tests, Pacelle noted. "You get a lot of mixed signals from our society about this."
That may explain how Vick was able to "rationalize" his cruelty, Pacelle said, but he added that it does not excuse it: "He knew it was illegal; he knew it was wrong."
Mr.Parcelle you surely should stay within the bounds of what you know. No way, NO REMOTE way can this be equated with what VIC did. Please remain silent for you are surely misleading people.

DIPLOMAT'S SON, MOHAMMED ABOU-SABAA, CAUGHT ON CCTV BRUTALLY ABUSING HIS FIVE-MONTH-OLD LABRADOR PUPPY

WARNING: AS WITH ALL ABUSE VIDEO THIS IS TOUGH TO WATCH BUT I WILL TELL YOU UPFRONT THAT THE PRECIOUS PUPPY DID LIVE AND UP FOR ADOPTION AND THE EVIL CULPRIT GOT OFF WITH A SLAP ON THE WRIST.Remember.This man is a student Manchester University. Email the university: Jon.Keighren@manchester.ac.uk
Another Muslim abuse video caught on CCTV that is very tough to watch. And while this isn't as bad as the diplomat who beat his slave to death in a five-star London hotel, the beating of this lab puppy is terrible.
In a final, sickening, attack, the 21-year-old student was filmed kicking the blameless pet down a flight of steps outside his luxury city centre flat.
Attack: Mohammed Abou-Sabaa was caught on CCTV brutally abusing his five-month-old labrador puppy
Abou-Sabaa was seen raining down more than 20 blows on the puppy as she cowered in terror
But despite his behaviour being branded 'despicable' by RSPCA inspectors, magistrates agreed to let him walk free from court, imposing a suspended prison sentence and banning him from keeping animals for four years.
They told him they were letting him off because he was in full-time education - however it emerged yesterday he is likely to face disciplinary action from the authorities at Manchester University over his conviction for animal cruelty.
Brazen Abou-Sabaa punched and kicked the dog outside the entrance to his building, stopping when a fellow resident went indoors before resuming the unprovoked assault.
